TRIB3 Spring 2013 Conference
Following Christ in Radical Surrender
This year, TRIB3 is hosting an amazing spring conference. This
year's event will include:
• Live worship with the Virginia Tech Baptist Collegiate
Ministry (BCM) Worship Band (http://www.bcm.org.vt.edu)
• Messages by Darrell Cook, BCM Director at Virginia Tech
• Small Group discussion time
• Overnight in Host Homes
• Group Activities
Location: Cool Spring Baptist Church
Dates: March 22-24, 2013 (Fri-Sun)
For students in 6th - 12th Grade
Cost: $55 per person
Online Registration: 2/1 - 3/6
Adopt a Pack 2013 - Ministry to the homeless in D.C. and Richmond
Students participating in the TRIB3 Student Ministry will distribute
backpacks to the homeless in January - high school students on
January 19 & middle school students on January 26.
You can "Adopt a Pack" by donating $25. This amount will cover the
cost of one backpack filled with a hat, gloves, scarf, socks and a
New Testament Bible. AND then begin praying for the person who will
receive it.
OUR GOAL IS TO GIVE OUT 300 BACKPACKS!

TRIB3 FALL RETREAT 2012
This year's Trib3 Fall Retreat will be held Friday - Sunday, October
5-7, 2012, at Eagle Eyrie Conference Center. Fall Retreat is for all
middle school, high school and college age students. The cost this
year is $105. Registration forms will be available Sunday, August
26. The deadline to register is Wednesday, September 26.
Fall Retreat is a great weekend for students to hang out, have fun,
worship, study God's Word, connect with their small group and get to
know each other better.
Our theme for this year's retreat is "Obey." To help us explore what
it means to obey, we have invited back Craig Tackett to speak each
day. Our worship leader for the weekend will be Dana Jorgensen from
Nashville, TN.
Please return the completed
registration form, payment of $105, and the
Cool Spring medical form, if not already on file, by September
26 to reserve your spot. Register early as space is limited!
Remember, the price includes everything for the trip: lodging for 2
nights, transportation, all meals, and all activities at the camp.
You don't want to miss the first big event of Trib3 for 2012-2013!

Hour Famine
The 30 Hour Famine is an international youth movement sponsored by World
Vision to fight hunger. It allows students to experience hunger firsthand,
while doing something to save some of the 29,000 children who die every day
from hunger and preventable causes.

HOMELESS BACKPACK MINISTRY - 300 Backpacks Donated!!
TRIB3 Student Ministry will be giving out backpacks to the homeless in
Richmond and DC on Saturday, January 28. We Need Your Help! You can "Adopt a
Pack" by donating $25 to cover the cost of one backpack filled with a hat,
gloves, scarf, socks and a New Testament Bible AND then praying for the
person who will receive it. Our goal is to give out 300 backpacks!
It's a TRIB3L Christmas Party! Angry Birds!
Where else can you celebrate Christmas, help your community, and join in
a LIVE version of Angry Birds?

This year's TRIB3L Christmas party for middle & high school students
will be held on Wednesday, December 14, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. Dinner
will be provided.
There won't be a gift exchange this year. Instead, each person is asked
to bring non-perishable food items to replenish the Cool Spring Food
Pantry.
There will be games, food, Live Action "Angry Birds" and all kinds of
good stuff! Bring a friend! Don't forget to bring some items for the
Food Pantry!
TRIB3 FALL RETREAT 2011
This year's Fall Retreat will be held Saturday - Monday, October 8-10,
at Eagle Eyrie Conference Center. Fall Retreat is for all middle
school, high school and college age students. Registration forms will be
available Wednesday, September 7.
Our theme for this year's retreat will focus on worship. To help us
explore what it means to "worship," we have invited, Jonathan Davis,
from Houston, Texas to speak each day. We have also invited the
worship band, "More Than Conquerors," from Randolph-Macon College to
join us.
The cost this year for students remains the same as last year...$99. You
will need to complete a Cool Spring medical form if you don't have one
on file in 2011. We will have tables set up in the Welcome Center
beginning Sunday, September 18, for you to register on Sunday or
Wednesday.
Please return the completed registration form, payment of $99, and the
Cool Spring medical form, if not already on file, by September 28 to
reserve your spot. Register early as space is limited! Remember, the
price includes everything for the trip: lodging for 2 nights,

As the perfect ending for the TRIB3 Student Ministry's 30 Hour Famine on
April 29 & 30, we are joining together with our Cool Spring family to
focus on five needs around the world and in our city. Walk through
interactive displays to learn how you can help end: Malaria, HIV/AIDS,
World Hunger, Modern Day Slavery and Homelessness in Richmond. Learn
more about the needs, pray and if desired, contribute financially to
help change the world.

FLOURISH...IT'S A CONFERENCE FOR GIRLS!
Saturday, November 20
9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
8th - 12th grade girls
What exactly is Flourish? It's a conference for girls and it's AWESOME!
It's a day of interactive teaching, engaging worship, Chick-fil-A,
intentional fellowship and an in depth look at the three questions...Who
am I? Where am I going? How am I going to get there?
The cost for Flourish is $25, which includes lunch, the conference and a
devotional book/journal.

volume and clarity to God's voice in the lives of teenagers. For more than
two decades, ATF events have delivered...
Decision-making opportunities for Christ
Pattern-breaking challenges for living "real-life" with God
Future-shaping perspectives that help youth see themselves in God's big plan
This event is for middle school and high school students. Sign up and pay
beginning Sunday, December 6. Cost is only $35, plus cost of meals.

Acquire the Fire
2010 HOMELESS MINISTRY
Middle School - January 16
High School - January 23
Don't forget to bring your backpacks for the homeless and drop them off in
either Trib3 Room. We also need hats, gloves, socks, and financial
contributions for food items.
The dates are January 16, for the Middle School group and January 23, for
the High School group.

Fall Retreat 2009:
This year’s Fall Retreat was held on Oct. 30 - Nov. 1, 2009. Our
reservations were at Camp Overlook in Keezletown, VA. The cost this year
for students was $85.

We took a group of middle and high school students to this year’s
Awakening Music Festival on Saturday, September 26. This event was held
at: Morven Park International Equestrian Center, 41793 Tutt Lane, Leesburg,
VA 20176. The website for the Awakening Music Festival is:

The 2009 Awakening Music Festival artists included: Jeremy Camp, Skillet, Kutless, Hawk Nelson, Stellar Kart, Disciple, Decyfer Down, Remedy Drive,
Chasen and Esterlyn.
In addition to the music festival, there were activities for all ages
from face painting to a rock climbing walls. All of the festival activities
are FREE with admission. All games and side activities will stop at 6:30 pm.
Activities Include: 2 Rock Climbing Walls, Gladiator Jousting, Giant Slide,
Volleyball, Kids Moon Bounce/Slides, Graffiti Wall, Kids Crafts, Petting
Zoo, Pony Rides, Clowns, Fun Entertainers.
The cost for this event was $22. The deadline to sign up and turn in money
was
Sunday, September 20.
