CHILDREN'S  CHOIRS

Through the Worship and Music Ministry, choir and drama are offered from Preschool through 5th grade.

The Preschool Choir
- The Preschool Choir meets Sunday afternoons at 5:00. It is this weekly meeting that gives the most impact for these young children, helping to introduce Christian values and fellowship to them at an early age. The Preschool Choir will perform during worship services during the year as well as during special productions at Christmas, Easter, and in the spring.

Children's Choir - There are two Children's Choirs, one for grades 1-3 and one for grades 4-5. They usually meet weekly on Sunday afternoons at 5:00. They are involved in a dramatic and musical production at Christmas, and also perform at Easter and in the spring.

BRIDGE  BUILDERS

“Bridge Builders” has been established to help bridge the special needs of some of our children & students to help them best access our curriculum and to help them to grow spiritually and come to know Christ. It is also intended to be a blessing to their families by allowing them more opportunities for growth in Christ because the special needs of their child are being met.

Bridge Builders provides assistance to children with special needs and to their families. Thank you to those of you who have faithfully served in the Bridge Builders Ministry for the past year with love and caring hearts. As God continues to grow this ministry, we are in need of additional one-to-ones to serve His children. We also need folks with administrative skills to help with the organizational aspect of this ministry. Please call Wendy Atkinson at 798-5278 if you are currently a member of this ministry and would like to continue with your commitment or join this special ministry.

Bridge Builders has a sensory room - a special room where students and one-to-ones can go when a quiet learning space is needed. We would like to equip this room with useful items for this ministry. Thank you so much for contributing to the success of this ministry.

Friends of Bridge Builders

The Friends of Bridge Builders group is made up of parents, one-to-ones, teachers and anyone in the church family who is interested in or is already a part of this special needs ministry. The group was developed to support and encourage each other and to provide an open forum for discussion of needs, ideas and opportunities for maintaining and growing this ministry. For more information you may contact Pam Gontkovic (746-9021) or Laurie Friedl (427- 6839).

Please prayerfully consider joining this ministry if God is calling you to this service. Want to know more? Call Wendy Atkinson, Special Ministry Coordinator, at 798-5278.

SCOUTING

Scouting: Cool Spring serves as a meeting place for Boy Scout Troop #521, #523, as well as other Cub Scout, and Girl Scout groups.

Scouts often volunteer services for the church, such as work on the church grounds and for special projects such as the Wyatt House. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

The Scout Oath or Promise: On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law: A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
