COOL  SPRING  CHILDREN'S  MINISTRY:  OVERVIEW

From birth through 5's, children are introduced to the Christian faith through age-specific hands-on activities and learning experiences.

For elementary age children, the church is of major importance in providing positive opportunities  to learn of Jesus Christ, to study His Word, and to come to a personal knowledge of His redeeming love.

Through caring Christian teachers, our elementary age children participate in Bible Study, missions and music groups, Vacation Bible School, fellowships, discipleship groups, and other activities throughout the year.  All of theses activities provide a foundation of Christian beliefs which will last a lifetime.

There is a specific Preschool Ministry for children age 5 and below and Sunday morning 252 Basics for grades Kindergarten through 5th.

Awana is offered on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:45, and includes children from age 3 through 5th Grade.

God calls each of us to serve and share His love with others. How are you fulfilling His command to serve this fall at Cool Spring?

Call Brenda (746-0185) or Pam (746-8976) to learn about opportunities to do Kingdom work.

252 Basics

252 Basics has materials for creating large and small groups and shared experiences for parents and kids where elementary kids DISCOVER how God's truths point them towards WISDOM to make everyday decisions, EMBRACE FAITH in a loving, Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ, and grow healthy FRIENDSHIPS as Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52.

This is for children K - 5th grade on Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 10:00.

430 boys and girls heard the good news of Jesus at VBS this past week! Jesus, we thank you for allowing us the joy of serving you during VBS!

To all of the many workers (over 200) who rode the waves with us, served behind the scenes, taught in the classrooms, worked on the front lines and knelt at home praying for this year's SonSurf Beach Bash VBS ministry to our community, we extend to you our deepest heartfelt appreciation for all the hours of hard work, sacrifice and devotion you gave to helping make VBS a wonderful experience for the children that God sent to our campus. Your actions were an outward demonstration of His love and grace at work in you. Thank you for being such an awesome reflection of Christ. We thank you!

SonSurf Beach Bash gave kids answers to five big questions about Jesus:

Who is Jesus?
Why can I trust Jesus?
Why do I need Jesus?
How can Jesus help me
when I mess up?
What does Jesus want me to do?

“I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6

PRESCHOOL  MINISTRY
From birth through 5 years old, children are introduced to the Christian faith through age specific hand-on activities and learning experiences. This helps to establish a foundation to be built on in future years.

Preschool Activities are scheduled throughout the year, often corresponding with adult activities. Child care / nursery is usually available for children age 5 and below during seasonal adult activities, such as Christmas and Easter evening performances.

A Parent / Child Dedication Service is held several times a year, and represents a commitment from the parents of young children to raise them in a Christian home, helping them to grow toward faith in God.

Awana is on Wednesday evenings for 3 year olds through 5th grade.
